UCLA Grad, CALWOF Scholarship Recipient, and soon-to-be student at the University of Colorado School of Medicine
Since graduating from UCLA in June 2020, I have spent the last year working as a medical scribe for a dermatology clinic in Sacramento while I applied to medical school. As a scribe, I document all patient-physician interactions and assist the physician with surgeries and procedures. My experiences in the dermatology clinic have further solidified my passion for medicine and love of patient care. The CALWOF scholarship I received last year funded my medical school applications and allowed me to take time off of work to interview with several schools. I was fortunate to receive admissions offers from two medical schools I interviewed with, and am ecstatic to say I will be starting at the University of Colorado School of Medicine this July. I am incredibly thankful for all the support CALWOF has given me over the years and look forward to giving back one day as a physician.
